Plethysmographic device for complete vascular diagnostics.

The VLab-4000 device is designed for non-invasive diagnostics, screening and monitoring of the vascular system based on plethysmography methods (air and optical). Evaluates the quality of perfusion on the periphery, especially on the lower limbs. The system implements diagnostic methods for complete arterial, venous and lymphatic diagnostics.

Our mission is to prevent vascular problems using non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic solutions set according to the actual needs and condition of the patient. Our solutions help maintain a healthy flow and blood circulation, especially for Diabetics against the risks of diabetic foot. Our solution is also suitable for seniors and other patients

Peripheral artery disease (PAD)

Diabetes mellitus (DM)

13% The global population is affected PAD

8-10% of global population suffers from DM

200 million are at risk PAD

70% of lower limb non-traumatic amputations are due to diabetic foot

70% patients with PAD do not have classic symptoms and thus remain undiagnosed

Vast majority of these amputations can be prevented

STOP

amputation!

Most diabetics suffer from severe vascular damage due to late or absent diagnosis. However, these vascular problems can be prevented. Our motivation is the prevention of these problems and the promotion of vascular health. Our solutions save the limbs and are clinically and economically effective.

Application:

  • Screening and monitoring of patients with cardiovascular risks factors, mainly Diabetics with the aim of prevention of diabetic foot

  • Monitoring of patients after vascular surgery including vascular replacement

  • Specific groups of patients, e.g. those exposed to vibrations

  • Personalization of therapies covering on arterial, venous and lymphatic functions

Indication:

  • Suspicion of peripheral arterial disease (lower limb, upper limb)

  • Monitoring the effect of treatment of venous and arterial diseases

  • Prevention

  • Differential diagnosis of pain and swelling of the lower limbs

  • Monitoring the influence of risk factors on the function of the vascular system of the limbs (diabetes, lipid spectrum disorders and others)

Medical fields:

  • Angiology

  • Diabetology

  • General practical medicine

  • Internal Medicine

  • Occupational medicine

  • Preventive cardiology

The main measured parameters are:

  • Significant parameters of pulse wave

  • Lower limb blood flow

  • Refill time

  • Pulse inclination

  • Peak angle

  • Quotient rise – descent

  • Half-time rise

  • Inclination period

  • Peak time

Benefits:

  • Significant efficiency of care through early detection.

  • Improving the quality of life.

  • Support and motivation of patients and adherence to exercise.

  • High sensitivity and specificity of diagnostics up to 90%

  • Program for a high number of patients, plese see the indication range above.

  • Easy for operating staff, even for a staff without medical experience.

  • Fast measuring in sitting position

  • Telemedical solution

  • Very low operating and service costs.

  • Rentability and profitability.

90% Specificity

85% Sensitivity

Key benefits:

  • Unique diagnostics and monitoring focused on diabetic patients

  • Enables to substantially increase the capacity to diagnose and monitor  a high number of patients with minimized requirements on the precious time of the doctor

  • Strong advantages over other existing solutions in terms of sensitivity and specificity even for the most simplified methods

  • The Telemedical solution that enables simultaneous operation of multiple units under the distant supervision of one doctor

Motivation:

  • 70–80% of non-traumatic lower-limb amputations are due to diabetic foot.

  • Most of the diabetic patients suffer from severe vascular damage due to missing or late vascular diagnostics. These vascular problems are preventable.

  • Our motivation is to prevent these difficulties and to improve vascular health.

  • Our solutions save limbs, enhance vascular health and are economically advantageous

The device includes:

  1. 4-channel optical plethysmograph with automatic

  • Finger (thumb) pressure measurement

  • Arterial pulse analysis

  • Evaluating the reactivity of the endothelial system

  1. Air plethysmograph with automatic measuring and semi-automatic evaluation

  • The Parameters of arterial flow through the lower limb

  • The parameters of arterial flow through the lower limb during reactive hyperemia

  • Venous reflux in the lower limb at the same as the evaluation of the pulse wave parameters
